A Message From Our Founder

I understand that the most important thing between a dog groomer and a pet owner is trust.

Our pets are important to us, you want to feel confident you are leaving them in the best possible hands.

Read below to meet the team and learn about my journey from a volunteer kennel hand at a local rescue, to the confident and capable groomer I am today.

Our Founder's Journey

2013 - Volunteering at Appledown Rescue

Like many dog groomers, I had always wanted to work with animals, so I began volunteering at Appledown Rescue in Eaton Bray. It was my happy place and my work there eventually led to a Saturday job. I am still a massive supporter, the work they do for dogs that aren't as lucky as yours or mine is irreplicable.

If you would like to learn more about them or donate to their cause you can check out their website by clicking here

2015 - Became a Grooming Assistant

Needing a full time role I landed a job as a grooming assistant. It was a whole new world to me and my working days were still full of joy being surrounded by dogs. I thrived learning all the different theory and practical techniques and soon was promoted to a Stylist role.

2018 - Getting Qualified

Having always had an interest in education, I was thrilled to achieve my first grooming qualification! I gained a City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming, before going on to complete my Level 3 Diploma in Professional Pet Styling, teaching qualifications and so much more.

2019 - Teaching The Next Generation

Having worked my way up to a Salon Manager Role and with years of experience under my belt, I was looking for a new challenge. This is when I began teaching at one of the UKs leading grooming schools. Inspiring the next generation of groomers and helping them develop their skills held my heart for many years, and I am still very proud of all I achieved here.

2022 - Entering the Competition Circuit

At my first grooming competition, I entered the Asian Fusion Open class. Then, a few months later in Handstrip Open, placing Second. Since then I have achieved over 9 awards including Best Technique and Best Scissored Dog, as well as an image of me being featured in an Asian Style Magazine for May 2024.

2025 - Salvator Dog Grooming Begins

A dream becomes a reality, and Salvator Dog Grooming opens it's doors! We held an amazing launch event in August 2025 and have been pampering pets ever since.
